Truly feels like Fall this weekend. Yesterday was windy and mostly cloudy with highs in the 70s. Dropped into the 40s last night. More of the same today. The house has been open since yesterday and feels cool and fresh.
Combine that with college football and you know Fall is almost here.
My house has been open since sometime in April and felt fresh.
The fall's technically already started here, trees are already shedding their leaves. They in fact started in late August I think. The very cold winter certainly didn't help matters last year for the new lot of leaves, then the very dull July/August.

Yes, our leaves are shedding, too.
Also, the sun is setting sooner (try saying THAT three times )
Leaves are starting to change, days are getting cooler and shorter, football is starting. Soon the apples, pumpkins, and cider will be out. What's not to like?

Oh that sounds wonderful! I wish it didn't still feel like August here!!!

days getting shorter can cooler; no thanks.
Everything else sounds splendid.
Sunshine disappearing will be another trend I'm not looking forward to.
October-onward is when we can go 2+ weeks with no sunshine.

I've actually noticed that some of the clearest days of the year often occur in September and October. Today being an example.
But generally it does get a bit cloudier. Although the latter part of this summer has seen several days in a row of cloudy weather, which seems slightly unusual.
It's still not Fall here (thank God), upper 70's & low 80's isn't really my kind of weather but I know it can be a lot worse (60's ) so I'm very grateful.
I'm slowly accepting that Summer's leaving, I should be okay by mid-February.
