Yeah, September is still pretty warm here too, but as you said, it's such an improvement from August. Sometimes we will even catch a break and get a brief cool spell in September where at least the nights and mornings are cool.

Sitting here at my computer looking out the window.....clouds have rolled in and it's only 55 degrees. We have been having to close the windows to a crack at night because it's too cold in the morning.

Best part though - I just noticed the tops of two trees - leaves are turning. And a large flock of geese just flew over honking. Fall is almost here!

Oh - and here the geese come for the winter and leave during the summer. So it's nice to hear them. They are on their way back.

Sounds great. You must live far north of Texas.

Yes - Front range of Colorado.

But I used to live in East Texas and then Dallas (well, Lewisville to be exact!).

I too live by the front range of Colorado, and it was a beautiful morning today. I like to sleep cooler so I've recently been opening my windows to let in the cool air for night. When it gets to the low 50s and lower, I then open the windows. Today a high in mid 70s and low in the mid 40s, what a fall, September-like day! A quick warm-up over Labor day weekend, then nice again.

Oh, I moved from Texas as well, Deep South Texas, Rio Grande Valley.

I am ready to trade 90 degree days in for 75 degree ones but I'm worried that we'll have a short autumn and head into some really cool days by mid October( 50s). I'm waiting to let the last of the tomatoes ripen before I rip them out and plant spinach and lettuce but an early frost might change that. I'm used to avoiding a killing frost here in Pa before Halloween and not until early November.

Sounds great! We are forecasted to be cooler tomorrow but I think our "cool" is about 89º. However, after 107º recently, we are quite happy with 89º
