I guess today was a "true" Indian summer. After several deep freezes and a major snowstorm, it was 70 F and sunny today. Very comfortable, though hopefully it'll be the last 70 F temperature until spring.

I wish we could get weeks of this. Hard to have any objections to "very comfortable" weather.

Today is the eleventh straight day of sunshine and clear skies. This streak should finally be broken tomorrow.

Typical cool, humid and dull November weather here, with serial days sans sunshine and a low fog/mist hanging over the hills. Thank goodness it is not too long before December 21st, and then the day length will be increasing again.

That's impressive, whether you like that kind of thing or not! I'm not sure when or even if I've seen that long a run in this country, certainly never at this time of year. Today was relatively bright here, relatively bright means 40 minutes of sun in the afternoon taking our monthly total after nine days to a whopping 9.6 hours (half of which was on Day 1)!!!!!!!! Today's high of 14.6C and low of 9.9C (58/50) means we're still waiting for our first high or low to be below or even at average, this coming after the mildest Halloween for hundreds of years. I don't mind mild weather but seeing green leaves, roses in bloom and insects around this late in November doesn't feel right.

It is impressive. My crude estimate would be about 110 hours of sunshine since October 30th.

Coldies weeping in their beers on UK weather forums about the lack of cold signals on the model output charts.

Ah well at least their low heating bills will afford them a few more beers to weep into.

Hah - as suspected, the record sunniest November averaged out across this country (for the entire month, not just 11 days) was only 93.1 hours in 2006 (), though some individual sites probably have got above 110 at some point.
