your mountains behing your house are not a good representative of climate in UK at all.

most of England gets snow for few days per year, and some cities dont even have snow every winter.

And actually my mountains don't get that many days of snow. The highlands get over 130 days a year.

Again wrong

Plenty of places don't get snow every year, it doesn't snow here every year, infact the snow I had in January 2013 was the first I'd had since December 2010... It can go 3/4 years here without seeing any...

Well I recorded like 3 this winter.

Met office map says 2-10 for you so they disagree.
Are you seriously, seriously telling me that you have not seen a single drop of snow for 4 years? Yea right, I refuse to believe that. Even at 4c it can snow so I refuse to believe that. And it snowed here on the hills in the middle of May only 4 weeks ago..

even if they had some snow flakes that doesnt even count! if it doesnt stick to the ground then its not proper snow, just some wet crap
there is usually only 1 "snow storm" per year here.. where snow would stick on the ground for 2-3 days and sometimes 2 weeks

The East Midlands is a good deal colder than Plymouth.. in fact, probably one of the more cold-prone regions of England.
