Not a single air frost in Jan 2012 at Ballypatrick Forest!

The following February was almost as mild as January 2012 at Plymouth!

I would not trust those things on wiki.

One local says we have 6c average highs in January and then the met office says we have 8c average highs.
Then the met office map says we have 6.5c average highs. Really really confusing.

I think maybe the 8c one is caused by the lough??

Well it is colder where I live because we are further inland. It is really really cloudy here in the winter which suppresses max temps.

This past march I had one day a high of 0.6c and a low of -0.1c.

This emphasises my point about the cloud. Look at 23rd march.

It was extremely cloudy here too, we had 71.8 hours of sun. Cloud, if anything, should increase the likelihood of ice days, but reduce the risk of severe frost.
