Why Newman? Newman is about 600m above sea level opposed to 300m at Phoenix. Paraburdoo which is about 70km away from Newman has a similar elevation to Phoenix and is probably warmer than Phoenix in summer.

I chose Newman but I love phoenix's dry sunny climate...I own 3 houses there and intend to winter there when I retire. Newman has warmer winters and cooler summers so I had to go with that. One nice thing about Phoenix is the ability to drive 2 hours into the mountains and completely change climates.
