Been to both cities (January 2002 in Bogotá and July 2010 in London). It's a hard choice for me. I like both climates. Even though London summers are mild, you still get the odd hot day (I experienced it myself the first day I arrived.), whereas in Bogotá that is practically impossible. On the other hand, living in Bogotá I'd miss London winters and the chance of snow and all. When I was in Bogotá the first two days were totally sunny, whereas the other 13 were mostly and totally cloudy. And the clouds were dark and massive (I still can't recognize clouds by name :P), they always moved very quickly across the sky, leaving a gap from time to time.
London, when I was there, was sunnier than I expected, though a bit unstable in that respect. The first impression of London I got was the opposite of the typical stereotype. It was hot, sunny, I was sweating a bit. Perhaps it wasn't so hot (around 28C to 30C) but as I was coming from Buenos Aires winter in the middle of a cold snap... I felt the change. But the rest of the days in London were very nice, like BA in spring.

So, I have to choose London, mainly due to more seasonality and the winter.

Where's the data saying Kew is near 1700? It's older records were miles short of that. Just a question.

wow, i didnt know London was SO HUMID???
ARE THOSE NUMBERS REAL??
IM SHOCKED!!!
92% the average humidity for the year!!!
wow wow wow, that more humid like an asian place!

Im shocked. I was totally gonna pick London (eventhough it is waaay less sunny that i would like) cause of more seasonality, but now im rethinking it with those humidity numbers. Those numbers must make everything oh so sticky all the time!

Ah, but the thing is, dew points are not usually very high even during hot spells of weather.

Read this page and get the facts re humidity. Even with early morning readings, the Wiki numbers look a bit high. Never trust Wikipedia.

Actually the high relative humidity has more to do with the lower temperatures than the dew points being high. Also, although London often is humid during hotter spells in summer and they have hot nights during heat waves, they never have that sort of relative humidity when it's, say, 25 or 30C. Relative humidity can often be deceiving, and especially in summertime dew points are a better measure of stickiness - still, if you want dry heat during heat waves and cool nights, London is a poor choice.

During heatwaves here, humidity is almost always below 60%. During July 2006, I know dew points were nowhere near as high the actual air temperature.

oh, ok, good to know in the hotter days humidity go down. Anyways, it doesnt get hot in London as far as stats go, and i love those summer temps. I truly hate the low sunshine hours, and i imagine the winters in london must be dump and gloomy (i love cool sunny winters). So, definetely london is not a climate i like (though it haves great summers, similar to my likings), but i chose london over bogota cause bogota is simply too boring.

Bogota easily; the few warmer months of London can't make up for the rest of the year.

That's the average daily maximum (Wikipedia number is misleading) so it's sometime overnight or early morning.
