In your opinion, what climates of the world are the least interesting? In a sense of sparking the least of your interest? To me, it has to be Mediterranean climates such as San Diego or Barcelona, Spain (not enough variation in weather, in other words boring weather) and tropical climates (no variation whatsoever throughout the year in temperatures, especially equatorial climates). Oceanic climates are really uninteresting in my opinion too.

well, in the strict sense of the word, the most uninteresting climates for me are the "all year round similar" type of climate, tropical or cool, when theres no variation, its boring, its not interesting. So La Paz, Bolivia, would be a cool uninteresting climate and Rio de Janeiro will be a tropical uninteresting climate.

I cant think of a mild year round climate but im sure there are lots, so, even if i love temperatures and sunshine in a climate that features all year round numbers that i like, i would still lower its rating cause its boring. All climates that have no variation are boring for me. Same with cold climates. Any climates that doesnt have variation is not interesting.

Also, I could find a climate much more "interesting" than other, but still preffer the less interesting one if it haves certains conditions. For example, San Francisco is a much much less interesting climate than Chicago but i preffer SF climate cause its more suitable to my preferences. But i admit Chicago is a far better climate, for its variation alone.

Macquarie Island. 315 days of drizzle and stratocrapulus layer cloud a year is about as uninteresting as it gets.

basically any subarctic maritime climate.

Mild desert climates like Lima are cool as they challenge ones typical notions of desert, but to actually live there might get kind of bland and boring, weather wise. Tepid neutrality all year. Even oceanic climates are bound to get some "drama" weather, no matter how normal.

That being said, interest isn't a huge factor in climate for me versus, say, comfort and livability. Verkhoyansk is fascinating, but that being said, it's hardly my cup of tea...

I'd also nominate the Atacama desert as the most uninteresting climate. Antofagasta, Chile has mild temperatures year-round and many years can go by without any rainfall.

Well, where to begin? To start, anywhere in the humid subtropical zone or points equatorward in summer is a complete monotonous bore. The true year-round boredom really only starts with most hot desert climates and the deep subtropical and true tropical climates. The only exceptions are the tropical climates that are very rainy or that have a very strong monsoon; they provide some interest, though I find my interest in severe thunderstorms and rains and heat waves is very fleeting, nothing compared to winter-type weather. Also the year-round mild to warm climates, especially the drier ones, are very uninteresting, such as San Diego and Arica.

I may also add that generally, climates that don't have much seasonal change and get a lot of sunshine are very boring.

As for the ice caps, only the interiors with stable weather are boring. Even the milder ice cap climates and tundras that don't have much seasonal change are interesting because they get frequent snow and storm systems, plus strong winds. There is no comparison in terms of interest between that and some unendingly-sunny (sub)tropical stinkhole.
