With cooler May-Sep lows (mid to high 50s in the summer), this climate would exist in the US (upstate NY). Lived in it, though with slightly less snow.

It seems that you've created a climate that no one likes. Congratulations .

D. Not much I like about this climate. The high sunshine hours would offset all the negative aspects.

Yea, that would be a good example of this type of weather. Have to look but I wonder if Nova Scotia or New Foundland are close to those number....slightly lower summer highs I would guess.

Nova Scotia and Newfoundland have significantly colder summers than the numbers you listed.
Halifax has an average high of only 73F in its warmest month and St. John's only 68F in its warmest month:

These numbers seem very similar to Anchorage, AK, except for the sunshine hours.

When I saw your temps for your perfect climate, I noticed they are very similiar
to where I live, except snowfall totals, which are more like Buffalo or Syracuse,NY
Also I've noticed where nei lives, Amherst,MA is similiar too but with cooler lows/higher highs.

Difference is your climate's summer lows are significantly warmer, Pelee Island in the middle of
Lake Erie comes close, other than that my climate in Burlington,ON is almost a match.

I agree with nei that areas of upstate NY (near Lake Ontario or Erie) are close to the climate you described,
with higher avg annual snowfall.

Interestingly Amherst,MA and Burlington,ON have almost identical annual avg snowfall totals,
Burlington 43" (108cm)
Amherst 41" (104cm)

However avg annual precipitation shows more of a difference
Burlington 34" (878mm)
Amherst 46" (1171mm)

Wow...that is amazingly close temp -wise. ! I love snow and cold but I also love summer heat which I'd miss. For 2 months or so...that's about it

Edit: I looked at that closer and the similarity is bizarre! I swear I did not use your town as a template for those temps but wow...that is freaky almost. You are right except summer. The reason I like temps higher is because I love 2 months of good swimming weather... I guess you are both right, the southtowns of Buffalo or east of Lake Ontario (for the snow) might be spot on for me the more I think about it. In fact my brother lives in Buffalo and he has been complaining about the summer heat the last few years...lots of days near 90 which seem to have started to build in frequency the last 10 years or so.
