Is Lexington cloudier than Louisville?
I don't know, there isn't any sunshine data for Lexington.

"I burn easily when it's hot outside" - way too many people seem to believe heat has anything to do with burning. It has 0% to do with it and only has to do with UV. A freezing Chicago March day will have exactly the same chance of sunburn as a 25'C March day in Barcelona (pretty much).

When people say vegetation is "dead" in winter. Um no idiot, it's just dormant until spring. It'll bloom and be "alive" again.

When people define seasons by being within a certain temperature range.

When people say it's not winter if it's not cold and snowy

When people say it's not summer if it isn't hot

When people think that it's only spring or fall if the temperatures are in a comfortable 60-70 range

When people say that in X climate there's 10 months of X season

When people say a climate has eternal spring

When people call climates season less just because it's hot all year or cold all year

Yeah. I follow a "very Finnish problems" group on facebook, largely expats doing memes. And this "10 months of winter" comes every freaking day. It might be funny a couple of times, but it just goes on and on and on. Or then the arguments start like "LOL COME TO ENGLAND AND I'LL SHOW YOU CLOUD AND RAIN".

Tbf I don't do the winter thing, I think every climate has a winter. If anything I always praise climates that people say don't have a "true winter", like Montevideo or Genoa

Most meteorologists actually use December-January-February, or December 6-March 7 for the definition of winter.

Exactly. In fact when the tennis season begins in late April or early May sunburn is as much a risk as in mid-to-late August even though the temperatures are more likely to be in the high 50's than the 80's or even 90's.

When people say "bi-polar" or unpredictable weather because of a sudden change when it's just a forecasted front. Or the whole "don't like the weather, wait a few minutes". Or at least that applied to a large area (I think people in every state east of the Rockies say this). There are probably some microclimates that actually feature very rapid changes that aren't due to a front, etc. but usually it's just people didn't check the forecast.
