This topic started in the July thread, but it's worthy of its own thread.

At this rate I'm going to take a gamble and say below average, but I could easily eat crow if there's a heatwave later in the month. Perhaps Cambium or anyone else who closely follows the models could comment on what August may bring. MTD we're running at a rather cool 74 F/23 C.

If the start of this month, and the forecast, is anything to go by.... ****en cold

But if you are in Perffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff or Sydney, then it should easily be another record warm month

August was projected to be cooler overall here in the Mid-Atlanitc United States and so far in my area it's true...

Average high in my area for the month is 82F (28C)
So for this month the average has been 77F (25C)

Still early and it loosk like by the end of the week it's going to be a little above average and very humid again... so we'll see how it plays out.

I think it'll overall be below average but not by much....

First five days of August in Chicago about 2C below normal. I bet we end the month like this

O'Hare: 79.2F/26.2C
Midway: 80.0F/26.7C
