Crazy diurnal ranges are supposed to end tonight. Low temperatures will still be in the 30's to low 40's range. However, highs will top out in the low to mid 50's as opposed to upper 60's and lower 70's. No more shivering in the morning with a t- shirt because it's proper sweater weather from tomorrow onwards. Yay !!!!

I despise them, and I don't know if it's the same thing, but I especially despise it being 82'F one day and 58'F the next.

Of course. I can barely tolerate variations of 3-4°C (4-7 F) in consecutive days.
Variations of 10°C, or more, in consecutive days are totally crazy.

I hate that kind of weather . If its 48 F at night, the high should stay below 65 F. Else, the diurnal range is too extreme for me. If you lived in Alberta or Manitoba, those temperatures should be fairly common for you in summer. I live in flat Jersey, and high diurnal ranges are very rare over here. Here, if its 93 F (33 C) during the day, you are almost guaranteed a low in the Upper 70's F (25-27 C) with insane dew points.

Now the wide range would be a-ok in that situation if it offered relief from the cold.

Today is a good example, currently 75 F but forecasted to drop to about 40 F tonight (maybe even lower). Wouldn't be surprised if we see upper 30s tonight.

Crazy, Tampa (my favorite major city climate) was only couple degrees warmer today but the low is 60.

I'm glad our crazy diurnal ranges are finally going away. After the last three weeks of lows in the 40s with highs in the 80s, are daytime highs are finally dropping. Highs in the upper 60s today, lower 60s tomorrow and it looks like we won't get out of the 60s for a while. Getting tired of those hot days. Lows will stay in the 40s so no changes in that department.

I would like colder nights in the summer to eliminate any possibility of warm lows. I've suffered through a few 26°C nights and it's not something I want to repeat. In the winter I'd rather it were uniformly cold all the time.
