Wow Granite, those winds sound like a lot of my days. I remember that you really don't like the strong winds and I don't blame you.
Our winds are only 9 mph so far today so I guess they're all over east of here.
My temp right now is 33 and windchill is 26. Not the type of weather I love, but it's very tolerable for this time of year in our area.
The winds have been lighter today compared to what was forecasted The highest gusts were well under 30mph, and it is now 49F with showers. It is quite mild compared to the 8F low a couple of mornings ago.
It is sunny and 70 degrees with winds 9mph here in Dallas right now. This morning when I drove to work, however, there was frost on the windows and it was 38. Quite a warm-up today. (Of course, I prefer "cool")
