Weather wimp that I am, I didn't go into work until around 11 today.
We have a fireplace, but I didn't realize it would take so long for the repairman to arrive. Once he arrived, he fixed it in about 30 minutes though. At which point I promptly wrote him a 175 dollar check. OUCH!

It's only now getting above 60 degrees in the house after the central heat has been running for the last two hours.

Regarding work; at least you HAVE a job!!!

They actually played with that kind of temperature on the court? How did the fans and especially players handle it? Did anyone pass out or anything from the heat?

And I was reading on Wiki about Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Perth just to try to learn more about Australia and the article of Melbourne said that you guys get some of the craziest weather in the country. I didn't even know Melbourne got that hot!

So I guess you're having a heat wave right now. What are other cities experiencing? Are Sydney and Perth just as warm?

Here at LAX it's a chilly 62* with a windchill of 60*. LOL. I want my heat back again...oh looky here...starting tomorrow and continuing into this weekend it's supposed to be in the mid to upper 70s, but once again we will go back to the crappy 60s next week.
