Worst weather condition possible. I've seen it overcast and 94F.
Like a horrible suffocating blanket. Absolutely no air circulation.

I prefer the exact same climate. I found this forum through a Google search. If Hilo is as cloudy and rainy as they say, then I guess that's where I should head. I currently live in Honolulu, and don't like the harsh sun that much. I was hoping for somewhere in California. I'm tempted to try Portland, OR, but don't want to deal with winter weather. I like rainy weather, as long as it's warm, and I can walk in it without catching something. I'd like to swim in the rain, too. Thank you all for your input.

A bit wet, though. There are a number of places like you're describing outside the US, but none I can think of on the US mainland.

Bingo. I love overcast and warm, which is one reason I love this area.

Just how warm is it in Alaska with those conditions?

I meant loving Hilo with those conditions.

In summer here in SE Alaska, those conditions can be quite pleasant too. It can be low to high 60's when overcast and dry, which may not sound so great but somehow seems warmer than that.

I guess it's relative to what you're acclimated to, and dry weather always seems warmer than wet.
