Hell, I take any forecast past about 5-6 days with a grain of salt.
Great weather for my beautiful jasmine plant to grow. She is shivering right now .
But I am loving it .
Yes, Vegas is cold & hot on the same day. What should I wear when the high is 80 F and low is 39 F . T shirt & shorts or a thick coat. Extreme diurnal ranges make it annoying as hell during the cooler season.
If it's 80/39 F, I'd probably wear a t-shirt and shorts with a hoodie on in the morning so all I have to do is take off the sweatshirt in the afternoon and I'm good. I would take a bit of chill in the morning so I'm not too hot later.

I would most probably wear a Long sleeve plaid shirt with a T shirt underneath & jeans. Unbutton the shirt and take it off when you are warm.
You dress up a lot more than me, I dress much more for comfort lol
Hoodies make me sweat. I don't wear them unless the high is below 50 F. Else, a long sleeve T shirt or shirt would suffice. In Las Vegas, you need to dress with some style bro. Guys go there to party and get laid . I have several long sleeve party shirts which would also fit the bill. There is a reason why I was so specific.
accuweather claims to give a 45 day forecast and cannot be trusted. wunderground is a lot better and they said low 70 for you guys. L.A. is normally in the upper 60s for highs in winter; daytime highs of 60 are actually more common than daytime highs of 80 believe it or not. 90 is a very rare occurrence from December through March.
Anyway, California is headed towards a serious drought with it's third dry consecutive year likely. At this point, we need RAIN (at any temperature!) or we'll have some serious water rationing this summer. Both cold spaps and warm spells in winter are usually bone dry in nature so if we had moderate temperatures (highs in the upper 50s and lows in the upper 40s in the Bay Area and highs in the mid 60s and lows around 50 in the L.A area), the drought is more likely to be broken with some badly needed rain.
2013 so far is the driest calendar year ever for the Bay Area.
The Weather channel says it will be in the upper 70s lower 80s this weekend, not next my bad, youre right next week it will be in mid 70s.
daytime highs of 60/80 are about the same with about 5 days of each and the rest are in 70s/upper 60s
its very normal to see 90+ degree temps in LA in March, happens every year. EX. the first of march this year was 92 degrees.
I agree about the rain, we need as much as we could get.
