Hmm. I thought the 4 of July was supposed to be dry
Great point! and eye! I was focused on the possible TS didn't even realize Euro shows rain for us. I think models are trending slower with the front. This is based off that Euro map, and plus I noticed the morning lows are cooler on Saturday morning now, not Friday morning per models. So maybe the front is slowing down.
BTW... Euro sends that storm up the coast and affects us Sunday the 7th.

NOAA Weather forecast updated for a 30% chance of rain on Friday but partly sunny. Perhaps the showers would be most likely in the morning. Midweek forecast got hotter, could be the hottest week of the summer so far.
Drove through the middle of a heavy thunderstorm between Dayton and Cincinnati. It was awesome. Came on suddenly too, from sunny to black sky in only about 5 minutes. Water coming down the highway like someone was tossing it from a bucket, eventually everyone was going less than 20 mph. Plus bright lightning bolts and thunderclaps rattling the windows. Then to top it off there was a rainbow over the downtown Cincinnati skyline. Beautiful day.
Some spots that haven't hit 90F/32C yet this summer. Pittsburgh, NYC, Bridgeport, Islip, Concord, Utica, Hartford, check out the rest.
Some spots will hit by Thursday this week. If not the next chance comes after mid July.
