Also, what does it matter that it was -5C just recently?

When you have 10 days of temperatures of above 26C like we just did(minus 1 rainy day in between), sure 16C will feel cold.

Since you live somewhere that doesn't even get anywhere close to 26C, you don't understand and ya neva will.
It reaches 26c most years.

It's winter here. 13C (1C higher than the minimum) and persistent drizzle with 24 mm over 16 hours. Forecast high of 15C.

This looks like the weather for the next three days. This is what I don't like about winter here- moss, fungi and freaky looking puffballs everywhere, with mud and gloomy skies.

I literally cheated death today in the mountains of western PA .

So this is what happened. I was taking a scenic drive along the mountains of Westmoreland county, and a tractor trailer on the opposite side sped across the curve, lost control and swerved into my side. I just jammed the brakes, honked the horn heavily, and just hoped he wouldn't tip my sedan into the valley. Luckily, my car is brand new with a 5 star safety rating and good handling. So, nobody was harmed.
