Because I like the landscape on the coast and also the amenities. NE America has climate I like but I don't think i'd like it, its too foresty.
Let's talk specifics. What climate do you like, what "amenities" do you like? What kind of demographics are you looking for, job market, etc. We need specifics. I can tell you that Florida is not right for you. I bet I can find you a state that is a better fit, but you overlooked

Owen, unless your parents are going to buy you a house in south Florida, and fund your entire stay, you're not going to afford living in a gated community on your own salary. You need, minimum, 10 years to get the job that will afford you that salary.
