I'm beginning to not trust the forecasts. Last night the forecast was for a 74F low, but in reality it was 69F. And the 78F low forecast for Monday night? Not gonna happen
Interesting.
Well Fort Lauderdale really did not get below 80 this morning:
Latest GFS... 80s down south next couple days for max. Average in Northeast for max.
This is the coldest it shows next 2 weeks for here. 30s to the coast? Too bad its 12 days from now. Otherwise 40s/50s is shown outside this frame.
Last year the first time I turned heat one(wood stove) was October 19th. Typical is end of October anyway. It's the max more than the mins that make me turn heat on. (max in 50s)

Ugh. Thank god I don't live down there. I would go crazy if I had to deal with that midnight hothouse. I tend to associate more with Central Florida than that uh.. lesser region.

I see what I'll be missing. No proper cool weather settling here till mid November .
I wish that 60 F day like this weekend would happen again.
It's been hot, humid, and summer-like these past few days, with a couple of scattered showers today. The high today was 89 F and the dew point has been above 70 F most of the day. It looks like a couple of thunderstorms have formed in the area tonight, but they are moving away. I think I saw a couple of distant lightning flashes earlier.
Yuck, how can anyone stand that or move there willingly for the weather and find that desirable. Even in California, October is the usual time the overnight lows traditionally dip into the 40s, at least inland. Last year the single day spread for Riverside/March ARB, Ca was 89/48!
Its somewhere in the low 40s here in Michigan and Im sitting with a window open. The only difference is Im not used to it staying all day in this low range. By 9am it starts to heat into the 70s there.
Id have to have the AC running 24/7 there in Florida.
