Looks like some activity going on. As we know earthquakes don't mean guaranteed major eruption but it's possible.
If this volcano erupts and ashes go 30,000 feet+ that will have impacts on Fall & Winter. Particles it spew also important... Anything heavy will just drop back down into the Atlantic and not stay in the stratosphere.
If particles are light it would warm the stratosphere which in turn cools the surface AND will enhance the Polar Jet stream which means a stronger Polar air dipping down.
The ash would have to reach at least 33,000 feet (10,000 meters) for it to reach the stratosphere and to alter global climate. Not sure if that volcano has enough juice in it....
That is very cool!! Will check out link when I'm back on PC.
Wind direction and strength up above also plays a role in how the weather will be affected. I think there's a lag time of couple months so even if it blew up strong you wouldnt see results right away.
Apparently a neighboring volcano is getting restless too now. Double eruption?
How long are earthquakes going to happen for without an eruption?
