I love how the tv presenter calls this 'humid' when the dew point is only about 14C outside. It does cetainly feel much warmer though, as we have been used to windy conditions with 5C dew points. The air certainly feels heavier and it is nice out there.
We had a 24C dew point on Sunday with an air temp of 28C. I would call that very humid. People in the Amazon might say meh, just another typical day

So less humid than an average day in July or August. How will they cope by next month?
Heat index of 37C. Unpleasant unless you are in shade.

To be fair, your earlier post in this thread described conditions as 'muggy'.
14C isn't muggy at all IMO. But each to their own and all that.

Currently 21.8C and hazy sunshine at 18:46.
Haha, I mean 14C dew point isn't really humid at all in world terms, I just looked at weatherspark and we average 15C in August and about 13C right now.. so it is basically what it should be out there, just a few degrees warmer than average temperature wise - so why does it feel so stuffy out there?
Ahh I just watched the forecast and it was 26.8C at Kew Gardens today which is right next to me, compared to 25C at Heathrow which is also by me.. I guess I was in the warmer pocket of air!
Kew Gardens reached 26.8C today so London has reached 80F now. It's closer to the centre than Heathrow as well
About time then! Do you live near Kew? I thought you were over in Sunbury/Chertsey area?
