17.4C @22:45 after a high of 24.7C

I'm liking how this July is going Seems that we finally got out of that horrible 2007-2012 dull and cool pattern.. start to this week is pretty average, but by Thursday into next weekend more 30C temperatures possible and averaging 10 hours of sunshine a day

Mostly clear and a refreshing 18.4°C outside.
A second thunderstorm which was embedded in a cold front passed us about 9 PM, brought heavy rain, stroboscope lightning and also a significant temperature drop from a muggy 24/23°C to a 19/19°C just after the thunderstorm.

Looks like we could see a low of 15-16°C for tonight- it's about time, after 3 days with lows hovering around 20°C.

@23:56
18.3°C / 65°F
RH 98%

High: 27.1°C / 81°F @17:14
Low: 18.3°C / 65°F @now
Rain: 13.2 mm

Max Dewpoint today: 23.2°C / 74°F @my PWS only 1/10°C degree from the alltime record.

And before i forget it- Germany had set a new heat record today, with a maximum of 40.3°C / 104.5°F recorded in the city of Kitzingen in Bavaria.

25C @ midnight

Congrats to Germany for the new record!

Soon the heat "center" will be over Poland, it seems. Maybe a new record high there as well?

In 2008 the German weather service closed the Karlsruhe weather station . It has been replaced by an new weather station south of Karlsruhe in Rheinstetten.
The University of Karlsruhe has continued using the weather station since then.
Today they measured 40.8°C/105,4°F.

31c with 22c dewpoint at 10 am.

I have to change bedsheets every 3 days, showers are almost useless after an hour and looking north towards the plain, i can't tell if the sky is grey or blue (or both) because of the humidity. Also, it's difficult to sleep because it's 29c indoors and cicadas are singing in full force and determination. I have a hard time getting anything done and i'm always sleepy.

Now that's what i call summer 8)
