Yes, we are having a cold snap but temperatures should warm back to above normal next week. 41 F right now outside my house but should hit 86 F by Tuesday.

0.5C in Salo.

I mean, 90F in Saint Catherine. Some obscure amateur weather station in a sauna...

I thought that said 41 degrees C then and was about to post that at least somebody was getting nice warm weather this winter.

41C doesn't happen anywhere in winter north of 25N.
"Nice, warm weather" is 30 C with a low of 20 C and plenty warm enough for the pool and beach. We will hit 30 C on Tuesday but the night is too cold and the heat hours of the afternoon are too short for good swimming weather. This is why I dislike Southern California winter heat waves above 28 C. Too much diurnal range.

I'd rather have a high of 20 C if the low is going to be 10 C or colder. Our typical L.A. winter day is so much better than those heat waves because I don't have to change from jeans and a sweatshirt for the chilly morning to shorts and a tank top at noon for the hot afternoon. Save 30 C for summer when the nights stay above 15 C. 20-23C is warm but still comfortable in jeans and long sleeves even when on the move.

If the highs are going to be above 30 C for most of the year, bump up the nighttime lows as well. That being said, I'd still take a high of 30 C and a low of 5 C over any climate that stays below freezing most of the winter. I'm just being nit-picky about the nuances of what many people consider to be a perfect Mediterranean climate.

BTW, 41C is too hot even for summer for even most heat lovers (has happened a few times here in late summer but with very low humidity levels). There is a reason people prefer Miami's climate over Phoenix.

Yes I know that's why I though it was so odd until it I realised it was 41F.
