solid B-climate imo. winter is perfection, short transition seasons, and (relatively) good summer warmth.

Lieksa has been in the news quite often recently. The jerks beat up a Somali taxi driver as he "took their jobs".

Population by native language[3]
• Finnish 98.9% (official)
• Swedish 0.1%
• Others 1%

I'll give it an D-. Surprisingly cool though not being in Lapland.

B+

Very good climate. I'd give it an A if winters were a bit cooler (say, below -20C low in Jan).

BTW, kronan, were you able to access helda.helsinki without a Finnish IP? Just from curiosity.

Those winters are pretty harsh! Apr-Oct should be the whole year's range. The summer is very good though, and the rainfall is as well!

^^
yes, there was no problem.

a bit sad that they didn't include ilomantsi mekrijärvi or pötsönvaara in the climate sheet though. pötsönvaara probably is 0.5-1C colder in the warm season. you don't have any data for these by chance?

Ok, those should be available only for Finnish citizens. Maybe I should give the Uni of Helsinki a call.

No, I have only the same pdf you downloaded. The FMI data uses a language I don't know.

From the statistics a bit colder than I'd perhaps like it. However the winter pictures from Tripadvisor were delicious.

B, even though I'm not a heat lover, it'd be more comfortable if August had similar highs with July.

Oh man that's gorgeous. That steam implies well-below-zero temps (in F). Maybe I want to revise my grade to an A-
