Nope. Just average, at least for me. Averages have been dropping fast, but recent temperatures have been steady. Average morning low for that date for me is 46°F.

Probably was mentioned already, but Munich recorded 36°F already mid-September

Yup.. again, the 5 day mean which includes the much warmer days before next weeks front.

After next week we should go to seasonable instead of well above normal like we have been.

48 in Hartford.
54 in Bridgeport
51 for me. I wish I had 40s as normal lows end of September!!

So GFS would be well below normal for you and Euro just seasonably cool for Hartford as I thought. Those Euro 30s have to be below normal even for Vermont.

Yup.. Curving typhoon 7-11 day lag time puts us exactly at next weekend hence the cool down. I wonder if the GFS has the Typhoon stronger and so the air and trough is deeper into the Northeast while the Euro is weaker with the typhoon and so it's just a seasonable cool down..

Haven't looked at the models in the pacific to see..

Anyway... 1st things first... A semi dry front this weekend will finally knock these summer temps down to seasonable levels starting Monday. Next weeks front I hope is stronger with more cool air! Come on GFS!!

What's the appeal? Then you have to worry about jackets. Taking a jacket on and off for morning bike rides is annoying. Not looking forward to the cool down. This morning was cool enough to prevent sweat but warm enough to not feel cold without a jacket while biking.

Remember that my lows average a few degrees colder than Hartford; my weather isn't exactly the same as Bradley-Hartford.

Honestly, I love wearing jackets and sweaters. And I love the fact that in cool weather (40s) when you exercise you warm up to a nice temperature as opposed to overheating or feeling too hot in warm/hot weather.

What's the appeal? Better sleeping weather & crisper, fresher air.

I'll do a hike up Stone Mtn in shorts and no jacket in the 40's - a bit cool to start, but it it feels perfect after about 10 minutes.

Was there even a need for him to ask me that? Lol. Health & comfort if I had to use 2 words only. I wont even comment on the "jacket". Thats a bit over the top. I dont even wear a jacket when its in the teens.

Come on GFS Ice Box! And notice.. Euro is normal for this region for next weekend not above like the 5 day mean shows.

Tis the season... Starting to get to the time of year when I actually look forward to looking and analyzing the models multiple times a day. All because of that lovely blue line.

It IS still so early that it doesn't mean anything except just chilly air now but sure draw some interest for higher elevations..

Here is latest GFS for next Saturday 8pm. 850mb 0C line off the Rhode Island coast. ADK, Green and White Summits below freezing.

Red line is the freezing line at 925mb and its below freezing in Maine.
Small blue line is the surface freezing line which is still in Canada.

Any mountains in Nova Scotia? That's snow being shown at 5000' there.

Curious what the Euro will show when it comes out. 40s at night is going to feel like I hit the lotto. Been since May since I had it and June 3rd
