Reserved for next fall. I saw that Northern hemisphere winter 2013/14 (dec-feb) thread started July 8 2013!!! Nearly 5months before the 1st day of meteorological winter!!! So can I start the NH fall/autumn thread now? Only 75 days till summer solstice and the days will start to getting shorter again. What do you think about (for Northern Hemisphere posters) this upcoming fall? Do you think it would be good?
Cambium, any thoughts?

Reason: title
I know fall is still a couple months away, but just for reference, here is the current forecast from the NWS climate prediction center: Climate Prediction Center - seasonal Outlook
I love that Polar Jet Stream there... Just need the Sub Tropical Jet Stream to wave itself up the coast and BOOM. Blizzard Potentials. Texas and Florida looking wet.
"Good Read: El Nino update and its possible effects this fall/winter "
"El Niño continues to pick up steam. NOAA CPC/IRI forecasters are now very confident that the event will continue through the fall (over 90% chance) and into the winter (~85% chance). "
I'm just hoping there's early leaf colour in Texas this year. Really looking forward to my first actual autumn ^^ I visited Texas for the first time in November last year and the weather was amazing. A big range from the 80s to the 20s. Most days were in the 60s with nights dropping down to the 40s really soon. While the foliage didn't compare with northern Georgia, still plenty of leaf colour to satisfy me. Autumn is about cool weather, holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving), falling leaves and that moody feeling that makes me wanna listen to some jazz and read a good book. I mean, I'm still loving and enjoying my summer, but so looking forward to fall!
