Citizenship is not the same as thing blood. Besides, I've stated multiple times that 'American' and 'European' are not mutually exclusive. That means it's possible to be both.

But he's not referring to that, nor am I. You can't ignore culture.

Doesn't make you European.

As I said I don't care if they don't want to be bothered as long as they say hello, I understand not everyone has the same personality. It makes it so incredibly awkward when we're sitting at a table and it's just silent.

Alright, then technically I should be Australian and Croatian. I've experienced heaps of Croatian culture here through my grandparents and because I've been there. Also technically my blood should be Croatian, since my parents were both from there.

Yet I still am content and even feel proud to an extent to call myself Australian. It's where I've spent my whole life, and it's where I plan to spend the rest of it.

I used to think this but over time I've come to the conclusion that culture and identity are generally acquired as opposed to inherited and best viewed in terms of what you are today as opposed to what your ancestors were.

Anyway, this is such a weird line of discussion.

Yep Let's see if he can win the competition against Lindner, our other new goalkeeper.

Australian, Croatian, European... you are all three. It's not a matter of picking one or another.

Obviously, I am talking about blood. Language, culture, etc., are easily changeable. But blood--in this case, European blood--is the product of tens of thousands of years of evolution.

American adverts/commercials for any sort of medication etc.. do make me laugh, the way they say how wonderful this drug is, then at high speed say:

"Do not take XXXXX if you are a child, pregnant, are under 50, are breastfeeding, are over 50, have brown hair, blonde hair, have 2 legs... Side effects may include blindness, dizzy spells, decapitation, heart failure, unwanted sex change, general organ failure, sudden death, slow long painful drawn out death & loud & very smelly farts"

Really sells it to you
