Clouds cleared JUST in time, totally clear now. Wish I had a telephoto lense, but my 50mm prime is doing okay considering it wasn't designed for astrophotography.

Got a few pics but couldn't stay outside long because I was getting eaten alive by the mosquitoes... and it's almost October for christ sakes.

Wow, that's amazing there's so many there. Is it because half of Manitoba is under water?

Of course right at the time of maximum eclipse (10:48 PM) a ****ing cloud has to come and block it South FL sucks when it comes to clear nights at this time of year. Would have been nice if it were occurring in winter.

Perhaps, but it was because of the backlight from the camera attracted them all. Hard to steady for a picture when getting bitten.
