Here are a couple functions I put together. You can change the latitude φ by moving the slider. α (blue) is the sun angle at solar noon and h is the number of hours of daylight. The x-axis is number of days since the beginning of the year.
Wow thanks for the link, I was wonder how the daylight hours would be change if the axial tilt was situated differently.
