Aren't the highs in this "cold spell" only about 2-3C below normal? and the sun should make it feel almost normal than that. Anyway, you can't complain after your average low in December was almost 10C

It's all kooyanisquatis' fault. I read his post while on the crapper just before and my insides are trying to escape that particularly retarded facet of our dimension.

It does not feel like a normal winter day. It feels very cold. Yesterday was the coldest day for 11 months.

But that's because the past year has been very warm I'm not arguing whether or not it feels cold. I'm just stating that the current weather is nothing out of the ordinary. And I bet this month will still be above average.

Only -5C today. It felt warm, or to rephrase, not cold. Tell me about acclimation.

This polar outbreak has been a disaster and an absolute insult considering today marked the halfway point of summer. two 19C days in Melbourne, Sydney only 21C aswell and the coldest January 9am temp in history. This polar outbreak should be declared a natural disaster. What an insulting way to commemorate the midpoint of summer.

Here it wasn't so bad though, yesterday was 10C below average (yes that is "catastrophic" on my polar outbreak disaster scale), with a high of 23.6C on my station and it got to 26.9C today. Severely below average. but it was still a warm day with sunshine, unlike Melbourne's 19C and cloudy bull**** so it's not as noticeable here. It's the overnight lows that get cold, only 10.1C at the BOM station and 12.3C here.

Melbourne will have a good run until Wed next week, then back to more low 20's BULLS**T and models are hinting at an extended run of coastal southerly tripe after that. Australia Day looks very ordinary for you guys, probably won't make it out of the low 20's. Here we have some very low overnight temps on the cards, 12C next week FFS

Ok, enough football and weather, let's talk about the military. The Finnish military opted not to buy the new Beretta ARX-160 offered, but to upgrade the old reliable RK-62/76/95. New racks for optical sights will be installed and also a barrel rack for infrared sights or a grenade launcher. Fully loaded this will bring the weight up to 5 kilos, becoming probably the heaviest service rifle in any armed forces. So start pumping your arms.

Beretta ARX-160:

RK-62/76M:

Note that this has a double scope for display only.

What's the lethal range for that rifle?
