Man, who knew transferring to another university would be such a pain in the ass? I sure as hell hope it's worth it in the end.

Not quite. I mean, in a way, perhaps. But there were ups and downs in that time frame.

2005-2007 was decent. At least music seemed more acoustic than plain electronic. I thought mainstream music went plain horrible in the years between 2008 and 2011 (Tik Tok, Club Can't Handle Me, Pitbull crap, etc). I wasn't into that hard electropop sound that dominated this era.

Music improved a lot in 2012. There was a lull in 2013. 2014 was good. 2015 had memorable songs (at least for me). And this year is not bad.

But hey, that's just me.
