Do you mean it's not? Anyway, the point is how much more prevalent warmth has been this winter/cool season. In 2014-15 the last time hitting 70F was October 28, and not again until March 16. This year, it's happened 8 times from November until now.
And taking the three months of meteorological winter, which last year didn't exceed 62F, this winter reached 63F or higher on 27 days! Quite a striking difference.
March 17-18 Snowstorm still on table for Northern Plains/Upper Mid West.
Latest GFS12z says a Dakotas Snowstorm.. Rains for everyone points east but that may be the beginning of a diving cool trough. Still to early to say if it will push east or just lift back into Canada.
Look at that Bermuda High in the Atlantic. Major Humidity if that still shows up in couple months. Horrible position!
And keep in mind this is the 17th! We have that Bermuda High this week as well.
