So 13.8C is very cold (even though we have averaged 15.5 or 14.9 in the last three years), but 15 (the average low for Portsmouth) is comfortable? You sound like B87 now:
User: London' average temperature today is 20.1 and that doesn't feel warm to me.
B87: No, it is warmer than that. The average is 20.6.
Where did I say it was "very cold"?? That 15C average low in Portsmouth is with average highs of 22C, if you have average highs of 28C I would expect warmer minimums. I'm really not sure what part of that is so hard to understand for you? You asked people to rate your weather for the last THREE years, what the long term climate averages of Portsmouth, or anywhere else, has to do with that I don't know...
If you are gonna get butthurt at someone rating your climate anything lower than a C, then I suggest you don't do any more polls, jeez...
You really don't understand do you? There are people who rated an F and I didn't say a thing. My point is if these were charts for a British city, you would've rated it differently as tom77falcons and I already noticed from past experience.

In the 'old days' people used to vote against UK cities, even if they were the sunnier or warmer place, when t would be completely out of character with their normal climate preferences.

No, I don't understand your problem at all lol...
So why didn't you have a go at the people who voted F??
If I rate a climate it is based on many different things. I will also rate it compared to other places in that country. If I rate places like London or Portsmouth higher than I rated the last 3 years in Seattle is because they are some of the best climates in the UK. Seattle is nowhere near the best climate in the US. It has colder winters than Portsmouth & despite decent average highs, the average lows during the last 3 summers are much cooler than I would expect for those highs. It is my opinion. I really fail to understand why you are getting your knickers in a twist. I have explained my reasons for voting an E & quite frankly if you still have a problem with that I couldn't give a stuff...
I don't worry about what ratings people give, but I don't think rating compared to other places in that country is good, because international comparisons then become a bit muddied.

Well he is the one comparing it to Portsmouth & London...
I explained my reasons for the low vote, I prefer mild winter climates as I grow exotic & tropical plants, so winters are more important to me, the summer highs were decent enough but for those record breaking years the minimums were mostly lower than the long term average lows in Portsmouth. If you have warmer highs I expect warmer lows... I really don't undestand why he cares so much lol...
