Currently at the overnight low of 14.1C and raining at 9.40 am.
Presuming it won't now go below 13.7C we'll have a new record for May. It just seems so effortless how we can beat these records now, we don't need it to have been warm beforehand, don't need perfect timing in the month, don't even need perfect synoptics.

The almost permanent cloud cover since 2006 probably helps quite a bit! Heathrow had a 17c low last July that would have been a 24c low had we used a midnight to midnight rather than 9pm-9am recording method.
I'm surprised that your May record high low is only 13.7c though.
