For me:

Minneapolis, MN: -36F on a windy night. I don't know what the windchills were that night but it was so cold that I couldn't get warm no matter what I did/wore.

Bowling Green, KY: 106F & it was humid that day, too. Tied with Austin, TX with 108 F and a bit drier. Both horrifically hot and miserable...

Hottest was Redding, CA at 113F the summer before last. Coldest was here at home about 10 years ago when it got down to 10F. Not very exciting, but I’m not interested in trying it hotter and colder than that.

The coldest temperature I experienced was -16° F in Grand Forks, North Dakota on the morning of January 5th, 2018, during a stretch break while riding Amtrak across the country. Later that morning, the temperature dropped to -21° F in Staples, Minnesota, but I was not able to go outside and feel it. Both temperatures were the result of Googling the weather at the time I experienced it. Looking back at weather records, the highest temperature I experienced was 100° F on August 9, 2001 in Long Island, New York, but I was less than a year old so obviously don't remember it. The hottest I remember was 98° F on July 3, 2016 in Sandy Springs, Georgia as well as May 17 and 19, 2017 in Largo, Florida. My sources are from nearby NOAA stations, so may not be exact due to elevation, bodies of water, and development.

I've experienced -44F (-42C) in Mongolia and 126F (52C) in Kuwait.

When the temp his 126F in Kuwait, my balcony glass door shattered from the temperature difference between inside and the hot air outside. In Mongolia, my breath was freezing to my beard when I breathed out.
