Are those stats accurate? They seem a bit too warm. Beckley, WV is due north of it at a slightly lower elevation (2,421 ft) and the stats are noticeably cooler.

C: a bit too continental (cold mornings in winter, hot afternoons in summer) but it's not bad.

This is one of the few climates I can give an A. Slightly warmer and wetter summers and slightly cooler winters would make it an A+.

The summers are great. Not too hot or too humid. It rarely reaches 90 degrees, and the record high is under 100. The city of Bluefield actually gives out free lemonade when it hits 90 degrees.

It is definitely cloudier here than in most areas of the US.

In the winter in Bluefield, it could be in the high 50s, or it could be in the teens. The winters here are highly variable.
