I thought muscle mass mattered more than body weight as far as protein requirements are considered. I weigh 185lbs and I'd like more muscle but there's no way I'd be able to consume 200+ grams of protein a day.
You can do it. A protein shake has about 40-60 grams of protein and if you take two a day, that's about 80-120 grams just from protein shakes. Eat some chicken or eggs or other high protein stuff and voila. There's your 200 grams of protein. Obviously, just eating food it's kind of hard to get to 200 grams of protein.
Chicken breasts have about 30g protein and are tasty and low in calories, I sometimes have a couple of grilled chicken breasts seasoned with marinade served with some salad for lunch - under 500 calories and 60g protein
To those who pump iron on here: do you take protein supplements?
I don't take any supplements (waste of money IMO), nor do I track any nutrition info just eat when I am hungry. This summer has been a bit on the beer side , but other than that I don't eat any junk food. Lately I have been doing full body, twice a week mixed with cardio.
Size-wise I am rather average for my hgt(177), maybe forearms are decent but thats it, anyone can get abs to show really.
Don't forget fish - also high in protein. I love salmon and tuna so I eat a lot of that. You'd need to eat a lot of it every day to get 200 grams of protein though and most people probably won't be willing or able to achieve that.
Yes. Keep my protein intake between 200-250 grams a day. I've been going very low carb for about 6 months now, keeping carbs down to 55-75 grams a day. Very hard.
Not too bad for a guy soon to be turning 44
Not even close. I eat between 10-15 egg whites a day. Trust me, protein intake alone cannot remotely come close to hormone supplements. The guys I know who are juicing with 1000mg of testosterone or trenbolone (and throw a little HGH in) are beasts, and wouldn't be half their size if they just relied on protein no matter what amount they ate.
Sunstroke in northern Finland in September from an Arab and negro?????? That is a joke, no way on earth. Both from far sunnier lower latitude places. No way on earth this is real. That is a joke.
IDK, but that is an actual story from a newspaper. The article in the end says "mätäkuun juttu", which translates as 'rotten month story', meaning July. As July is the common holiday month, newspapers sometimes print irrelevant news and rumours because there is nothing newsworthy going on.

It says twice. But judging from the font I'd say that article is from the 50's or early 60's.
In those days seeing a man of colour in Finland was news. In the 1952 summer olympics many came to watch only to see coloured athletes (and drink Coca Cola).
After reading all these posts I'm thinking I def. need to up my protein intake. The results have been coming but they have slowed down ever since I first started working out a couple years ago.

Yes, both of these are good tasting, low in calories and loaded with protein. Very underrated health foods, IMO.
382 cases of serious Lyme disease and 24 cases of encephalitis so far this year. And September and October are the worst months.
10 years ago there were around 3000 cases total annually, last year there was 7000, though people more often take the vaccine. In a few years we will hit 10 000.
Chicken, vegetables, and sugar free yogurt are your friend for seeing gains. If you can afford it I also recommend shrimp and squid and ham of Turkey
