Weather whiplash!

11C at Midway airport in Chicago

I got up to 13C today

I don't know. Current SST's don't match what the were in 2012 at this time

And areas of drought don't really match either

Look at that drought in the central us if it holds on could be a scorcher.... even more proof is that every record breaking hot summer we have had I was in the middle east and I have plans to go for a good portion of the summer. 2007 when we had hottest month on record in August? Not here. 2010 when we had 3 straight months of nothing but 90s? Not here. 2012? Not here. Although there is one exception which was the cool summer of 2014.

Wow. Meanwhile it's 36 with cold rain here, going up to a high of 39. Better than snow, but still disgusting.

Below average to for you guys; seems southeast Ridge is strengthening with the sun angle; another month maybe any you could look down the barrel of 80 if the warm pattern holds, or at least 70 something. Forecast lows was like 53, we didn't get that low and clouds have broken with humidity dropping. If conditions were ever good for an 80 degree winter day today's the day. In fact if we follow the pattern of previous warm days odds are we blow past 80, we will see.

For those of you who don't believe weather follows borders, check out the NYS border with NJ and NE PA:

Right now 7:30am Islip reporting Ice. NYC & White Plains now light rain. Poughkeepsie and Waterbury light snow. Just a potpourri out there. Gonna be a fun day today. And could just be switching back and forth for hours.

Mostly sleet here now and heavier. Starting to accumulate.

My iceberg is melting!

Looks like we'll be stuck in the low 40s with cold rain today like NYC.

After today though we'll be warm and sunny for 10 or so days so I can't really complain.

Radar loop last 4 hrs. 4-8am.

Notice what direction the moisture is coming from in Eastern MA. Ocean Effect Snow for Boston while the main event is coming from the West. Cool?

Also notice NYC change from rain to sleet to ice to rain. Just a potpourri event.

My sleet now is just snow. Big fat flakes.
