29C/84F in the west facing kitchen on the 3rd floor in Leipzig at 5 pm. The east side living room is several degrees cooler. It is below 29C outside but the sun heats up the west facing 18"/50cm stone walls at this time of year. I am moving later this week to an apartment in Halle (40 km northeast) that has windows on the north & south instead of east & west. It also has a shade tree on the south to block some summer sun. It should be somewhat cooler. Almost no apartments here have AC.
