Opposite here too. Perfect example was Monday when the predicted high was 89 F and it got to 94 F lol. It's like forecasters don't take into account how strong the sun is down here during May.
Even here, and our sun isn't as strong as yours. It seems like the only time we fail to reach the forecasted high temp is if it's cloudier/wetter than expected, if not we'll match or exceed the forecasted high. Even in the winter.
But I prefer the more conservative forecasts over the more ambitious ones, I'd hate to be disappointed by getting lower temps than I was expecting.

What's funny is sun was high and it was dry and 0 clouds of any kind.
Still busted lower than forecast, should see low 90s tomorrow. Possibly as high as 94 but I wouldn't bet on anything higher than 89... also low of 66 forecast tonight with 0 clouds, summer has started if lows that warm are happening with no clouds .
It's official, Raleigh will get another very late 90 degree day..... after busting 3 degrees lower than forecast and topping at 89. Bs. Today was our only till shot till late may more than likely.. a good 2 weeks or so after normal first 90.
Nailed it right on the head, 2 going on 3 days later than normal now. No shot of 90 till June now. Making a run at top 5 latest 90s at this rate... what did I tell you Alex! I knew what I was saying because of what the models showed. Unless later today the high is revised to 90, we are done for here in raleigh.
core of the heat moving northeast to southern New Hampshire. Manchester has a forecast high of 97. NWS has 94°F. Temperatures slowly rising this afternoon, reached 94°F at 3 pm.
