Armed soldiers will now patrol certain venues.

The last time the UK's terror level was at critical was 2007 when a lunatic tried to bomb Glasgow airport.

High probability that a terror cell is active and planning to attack.

That ended in comical fashion; the terrorist crashed, set himself on fire, and was then set upon by Glaswegians who almost kicked him to death (while he was on fire).

The other time it was critical was in August 2006, with the transatlantic bomb plot, which would have been the worst terrorist attack of all time.
