Could the unusually harsh winter weather in the Southern Hemisphere be a prelude to a hard winter in the Northern Hemisphere for the Northern Hemisphere winter of 2017-2018????
Umm in South America it hasn't been harsh at all
We are yet to have a high below 20C this winter. Last year sub-20C highs were a regular occurence

I think the only place who had a really cold month was Southern Patagonia, the second half of June was very cold there, but now it is above normal, also i've seen that eastern Australia is having quite cold temperatures too this early July.
