Me too. I thought we would see like 1-10 feet somewhere.. lol I cheated and checked NWS Buffalo discussion to see if they mention why. This is such a great discussion overall, I actually didn't know what to post, so here's the link to it. Incredible discussion all around and they do mention models have a tough time with Lake Effects
Yeah there is just really a lack of moisture with this event. Plus, it is a NW wind direction, which is not conducive to monster totals off Erie or Ontario.
Looks like the PNW will be entering a prolonged warm stretch beginning later next week, potentially lasting through mid December. Good news for those of us hoping for a back loaded winter.

Looking like it if this is the new pattern with these troughs digging in the East, a repeat of how Summer was.. Finally for us here maybe a cold snowy front half (Nov-Dec) But what if it lasts all winter. lol. Doubt it. Usually it's like half and half or couple weeks worth.

Not much accumulating snow overnight but we might get a light dusting. They're saying the roads might be slippery.
.
Looks like Toronto changed to snow past couple hours. Not sure how much they're getting but looks cold and snowy behind this front.
Still 47° here. Our max tomorrow will come after midnight tonight. Hate that.
Gonna feel like January across the Region tomorrow and Saturday.
Here are the lowest wind chill forecast
Current winds and upper heights as the trough digs in. You can see why the Lake Effect snows are moving in those directions off Superior, Michigan, Huron
White arrows = 110mph winds at 18,000 feet. (Strong Arctic Jet)
36° and cloudy in Kane, PA. Temperature dropping quick out here in the middle of nowhere
