That Quora answer on Zealandia seems rather poor - as if he has no idea what present climates are like at equivalent latitudes. He thinks that the north would have a "cool marine climate similar to that of the Netherlands" when it extends beyond present-day New Caledonia, which at 22°S has a tropical climate.
Given that it extends from 19°S to 56°S and has an area about the size of Western Europe, Zealandia would be very climatically diverse, like South America. You'd probably see some genuine continental climates in the south, seeing as there are already places like Alexandra in the South Island that aren't too far being continental as it stands, but the addition of a lot of extra land would make a difference.
But we're talking about 2017, not thousands of years ago, right?
Now that you mention it I'm not really sure
