Overperformed at Toronto Pearson for a 60F high, finally

The latest GFS runs have trended warmer for the east in the 2nd half of April, with multiple 70F days (!) for my area. It's also predicting high DPs for the time of year. However, the Cfs, jma, MME weeklies, as well as the NAEFS, are not yet on board with any serious warmup in the east.
The Gfs have been too extreme at either end with it's forecasts lately, ie. too warm or too cold, so the actual temps may end up being closer to climo.

Yes, temp ended up higher than forecast, for a change
A bit too breezy but I’ll take it, ended up topping out at 17C in my area.

Tomorrow, unfortunately won’t be nearly as nice....typical of rollercoaster april...

House got stuffy, No wind last night so open windows didn't do anything. so A/C was turned on for 1st time this yr.

Nice warm morning with doors and windows open now.

I see its snowing in Missouri with accumulations in some areas. Cold there.

With a max of 74°F yesterday and a low of 54 today, soil temps got an extra boost. Warmest so far this year and this April soil is warmer than last yr.

Did some yard work and boxed up a scope to sell. I was sweaten like a stick pig. Anymore it is 9 solid months of hell in FL. 30 years down the road it will be year round.

One of many reasons I departed the sunshine state:
I can add layers of clothing, but can only remove so many.
Never did get used to the heat.
Problem now is, it looks like Christmas day; there will be no baseball played at Wrigley Field.

Rain 140 miles offshore from me. Once it hits the land shadow 40 miles offshore it will start to go poof.

ChicagoGeorge missing the bulk of it but probably seeing some snow falling.

Not a map you see typically in Mid April. Snowstorm happening in Illinois with 3-5" on the ground in some areas. These early and late cold snow events becoming more common. All while it's in the 70s in Kentucky.

In Missouri

Shorewood, IL

Illinois
