They don't have our part of the west gulf and Tampa temps have been much colder than 27f when we had winters in the 1980's. Any place that can freeze is not 100% tropical. And 23 north sure beats my 30+ north when it comes to coconuts. Plus that part of Mexico has a big land mass to the west while we have super heated gulf water to our west.

What are you talking about? Tampa is at 28°N, 30°N is Interstate 10 in the Panhandle

You people never read. I moved in 2004 28 miles northwest of Tampa right on the gulf and have bought another house to flip much father north right on the gulf. I think i was 27.8 north when i lived in Tampa. I never checked yet for the new house. I am in the high 29's at least. Still 23N is much better than Tampa is. Not even Miami is 100% tropical. Once we get down to Cuba then i call it tropical.

I'm sitting at 55F/13C right now with sun. Some stations pushing 60 degrees. North/Northwest suburbs cooler as?there is some snow on the ground

I can't believe people still pay attention to Joe B. He'll turn a chance of flurries into the potential for a crippling snowstorm. And the super annoying "I want to you to enjoy the weather, it's the only weather you got".

Only thing worse than him is Mike Seidel swaying like he's about to be toppled over by tropical storm winds.

I could never deal with highs that cold for 6 months.

Indianapolis also broke a record high temperature today with highs in the low to mid 60’s. Overall this winter has turned out to be the mildest to date since at least 2016/2017; how the rest of February turns out will determine whether Indianapolis has its mildest winter since 2001/2002 or even 1997/1998 or not depending on just how much above average February turns out to be.
