We see mid 70s dews, not for an entire day, but we do see about 3 to 5 days per summer with a mean dewpoint 70°F+
I got the average for Albany by comparing its mean July&August temps to the mean relative humidity.
And I used to live in Rochester (from birth until I was 18), and I remember several days each July&August that had dews in the 50s
We can get in the 50’s but I assure you it’s not as common as it once was when you were here. The dew point definitely has gone up in the last decade on average compared to previous years. Sometimes we can go weeks without going below 70. Summers are definitely more humid than back in the day for the east coast, especially the northeast. I don’t even remember the last time we had a full week with dews below 60 in July and even most of August.

We had some pretty strong thunderstorms late last night in the D.C. area. Mostly heavy rain and a lot of lightning activity, nothing to put it in the severe bracket, but it sure kept a lot of folks up. Of course, we're back to 90s and dews in the 70s today. Nothing too unusual here though, D.C. summers are soupy as a rule.

For the coast year that's definitely true and noticable. (Warmer Atlantic? AMO)
Here is Albany for June. Avg Dew is 56.9 and was about that. Before 2000 there were alot of dry stretches for June. Avg is up but more so for coastal areas.

Dews around the planet are coming up big time. FL has been insane with blazing hot falls thru springs for the last 9 years as dews have come way up year round.
Would you say Chicago might resemble the western high plains climate wise someday with continued climate warming?
Nope. Too humid and our precipitation is increasing not decreasing. Our summer temps aren't really budging so I don't see us resembling anything outside the state of Illinois anytime soon.

And at Day 10 ... death ridge.

It would be interesting to see July and August as well. I’m sure they have gone up maybe even more than June.
