I know you like cold weather, but do you prefer highs of 97 with dews low 60's or highs of 90 with dews of 77?
Same question for Cambium?
Agree....97/60-62 better than 90/77.
A 7 degree hotter in air temp vs a 15 degree dewier point (is that a word? lol) is almost not fair question. lol

subtropical...Ha. Can barely grow Holly trees here without getting a cold dry burn over winter. Maybe by Average overall but come back in the winter and you wont think it is.
Thanks for making me look back at some winter pictures of mine.
Man I miss this!

I thought you'd say that but you never know. Some cold lovers prefer cloudiness and so a humid day would be preferable to a sunny day. 97/60 is going to be full sun but 90/77 could be partly cloudy or even chance of storms so a cold weather lover may gamble on that remote chance of storms. Also a 90 humid day may be hazy so less intense sun.
It sounds like you guys would be more comfortable in a city like Sacramento than in a city like Philly in the summer. Mid 90's with low humidity in Sactown or upper 80's and soupy in Philly. The only thing is Sactown always gets 100+ and sometimes 110+ each summer (at least 106 each summer). Those heatwaves, while intense, are short lived. Also nights always cool down in Sactown.
A dew point of 68F with an 80F temp produces a heat index of only 83F. Not too uncomfortable imo. Chicago is seeing fewer 90F then in the past and trending downward not upward. The 1981-2010 averages number of 90F+ days for Philly is 27. For 1991-2019 it's 30 days. But yeah I can see us being more like Philly in 60 years. Not that we're that much different then them now in the summer anyways
Yeah it's no big deal.. Dew points still made it into the lost 70s hear in the far south suburbs and Northwest Indiana but drier air is definitely making it's way in the region
ABNA index forecast to stay positive and has been the strongest teleconnection index most of this summer, which should favor a continued hot August theme for Midwest and East.
