NYC. Nice hot summers with average highs in the upper 80s, heavy rains t storms and high humidity and dew points. But thats just for summer though. I still voted for NYC, but Seattle is a nice city.

Lol, New York averages not even 85F in July and is low 80s in summer as a whole, not upper 80s

Yes it does, NYC's average high (30 year) ranges from 84-86F in July, depending on the location. No official upper 80's in the city proper, although neighboring Newark's 30 year average is 87F.

Really? I was going off Wikipedia which has July as 84.2F, either way as a whole summer does not average upper 80s which is what the above poster suggested

In general no site averages in the upper 80's in northern New Jersey or the rest of the NYC area aside for Newark.

Central Park averages 84.2F according to the 1981-2010 average (equal to Chicago/O'Hare btw). LaGuardia averages just over 85F, and Newark 86. JFK, I think 83F, but that's an exposed site to open waters. These are 1981-2010 figures. Don't know what that the 1991-2020 series will be.

Yeah that's definitely not the case in an average summer, individual summer's may average in the mid/upper 80's, 2010 averaged 87F, but that summer was exceptional.

1986-2015 averages are 84, 85, 86, & 87 at JFK, NYC, LGA, & EWR respectively. Don't know if that upward trend will continue though.

New York city would be colder than Seattle maybe 10 percent of the year and has beautiful summers. Those arctic air masses may be annoying but they don't last all that long. Besides Seattle could never get as warm of a Christmas as NYC is getting this year! NYC it is!

New York. While warmer, Seattle's winters are still **** anyway so I'll go with NY's warmer summers, storms, sunshine and more interesting weather overall.

Really ?
If you calculate 1981-2010 average high you will have 84.9 F for Central Park. How NCDC made normals ?
